Your Next Stamp January Release and Stencils 3 Ways

Your Next Stamp January Release and Stencils 3 Ways

January is the month I pull out all of my adorable stamps about “Love”. In my house usually the upcoming Valentines Day is about making a few cards for my boys and some fun cards for their friends (not so much now that they are older). However if the past couple of years has taught me anything, sending a card to let people know that you love and appreciate them is important at anytime, so all those Valentine’s stamps are great for love messages all year round : ) Your Next Stamps January release is a mini one, but it is full of love to share.

What I created was really only scratching the surface of options. Thinking perhaps in the future I might try using it as a stencil with glitter paste or simply using the die cut colour stripes without the frame. Or I wander if I could partially die cut it for a shorter card. Hmmm so many options, not enough crafty time : )

Purple Onion Designs: Sunshine Lake - Embossed Background

These cards are from Purple Onion Designs and Stacey Yacula’s latest release Sunshine Lake that came out in May. When I first got them I couldn’t wait to colour them in. However at the time I didn’t have time to colour in a full background so I choose a technique that I’ve used in the past stamping backgrounds in silver pearl embossing powder. Ink on 3 Magical Unicorn: Rainbow Challenges

Ink on 3 Magical Unicorn: Rainbow Challenges

Ultimately when you choose to go the rainbow route what colours should you choose for the rest of the card. The plan from the get go was to create a rainbow unicorn. But then how to handle the flowers; rainbow would be just too much, perhaps some light pinks and greens?
