Continuing to play with the New LDRS Spring Collection. Really love the big dies that are in this release, so far I have played with the Large Leaf Dies and Large Flower Dies. You can find some inspiration for ink blending with the Large Leaf Dies and Large Flower Dies on my instagram feed @samjolden or LDRS blogs feature day. Today however I am creating a shaker butterfly with the Large Butterfly Die.

Continuing on with this weeks birthday celebrations Your Next Stamp latest challenge is all about birthday. Birthday is always a fun theme. Your Next Stamp: Stretching Coffee Cart Dies

At the moment Your Next Stamp has Coffee Cart Stamp and Die set on sale. Basically you can get them both for less than if you’d just bought the dies alone. So I thought it would be fun to make use out of the dies besides simply die cutting out the stamps. First I used the dies to create masks for overlapping images (tip for that below in instructions) and also I combined the bunny and cart die to create a large shaker window (again details on how to achieve the effect are in instructions).

YNS Challenge #158: Sentiment Spotlight

Time for a new challenge over at Your Next Stamp - Sentiment Spotlight. I think that we can all agree that sentiment dies are an impactful and easy way to add a sentiment to a card. I also find that they are perfect for when you’ve created your card and perhaps overlooked where your sentiment should go. For my card I used this awesome sentiment die set called Bold Happy Birthday Sentiment which has 2 different size happy dies and 2 different size birthday dies. It was probably one of the first sentiment die sets that I ever bought because the multiple size options made it so versatile.
