I know Halloween is just around the corner, but I jumped right into Christmas for this weeks challenge at Your Next Stamp. The theme of Candy is so appropriate for Halloween, but then really when isn’t Candy a good time for a theme. As I said before I am not a not a huge Halloween card maker, so my mind went straight to the next sugar filled holiday - Christmas. Of course to me Candy Canes screams Christmas. What does Candy mean to you? Are you all about the Halloween candy or does another candy filled holiday appeal to you. Looking forward to see what you create.

The new challenge at Your Next Stamp is ‘Midnight’. Hmmm, so I immediately think spooky Halloween, but generally I am not a huge Halloween card maker. (I tend to skip it and jump straight into Christmas card making). But somehow I couldn’t let this theme go by without making a spooky night scene with a few cute monsters hanging out. So does midnight mean creepy, spooky halloween to you or perhaps a beautiful moonlite fall harvest, or even a winter snowy night. Can’t wait to see what you create.

Now coming up on Canadian Thanksgiving you would think I would go down the path of fall and harvest type stuff, but nope I’m holding onto a little piece of summer and going sunset and oceans. Your Next Stamp: Stretching Your Slim Line Dies

I have loved making slim line cards for many years and it is so exciting now that there are so many new, neat options for creating so much more than a basic slim line card. I decided to see what different ways I could create a card with the Slim Stripe Panel Die from Your Next Stamp (YNS) with just the die and sentiment die - Bold Happy Word Set. What I created was really only scratching the surface of options. Thinking perhaps in the future I might try using it as a stencil with glitter paste or simply using the die cut colour stripes without the frame. Or I wander if I could partially die cut it for a shorter card. Hmmm so many options, not enough crafty time : )

Heading into the last day of previews. Tomorrow all the wonderful stamp and die sets arrive 11am EDT at Your Next Stamp and also there is a instagram hop to celebrate the release starting at 11am.

This ‘Fabulous Fall Wreath’ stamp set is a perfect stamp set for playing with fall colours. Its good practise for me because fall colours aren’t my usual go to colour palette and yet they always looks stunning when I play with them.

The new challenge at Your Next Stamp is ‘Keep it Clean’. Now I’m sure some of you are jumping for joy and others are squirming in their seats. Admittedly keeping it clean requires a little thought on my part. If you’re squirming then this is a great challenge to step outside your crafty comfort zone, play around with something new and “challenge” yourself.
