How exciting is it that Jane’s Doodles is now hosting challenges. And also very exciting is it that this is my first blog entry being a part of the Jane’s Doodle Challenge Design team. Card making is uber fun, but even more fun when there is a challenge to be had. The theme for the very first ever JD Challenge is a Winter Scene.

I’m sure the pink penguins will show up in a card soon. They are patiently waiting sitting in that pile on my desk of half thought out ideas. Read MoreGenerally speaking I am a one design, one card kinda gal. I enjoy the challenge of coming up with the layout and the style, but once finished I’m ready to move onto the next idea. I completely get that the process of creating that first card is where you work out all those oops and oh no moments. Making a second card is generally quicker and logically makes sense since you have all that stuff out anyway, but still for me the thrill is in making the initial card. Or a least I thought it was! In todays case, I created the same scene but switched up the media and now I have 2 same but different cards.

You know when you have an idea and you start it, but then you become distracted (squirrel), sooooo the project sits there for long time gathering dust. Well this card I started laying out and stamping last fall at a card retreat. At this point I have no clue what distracted me so that the project ended up partially forgotten, sitting waiting.
