Your Next Stamp March Release Preview: Spring Smiles

Spring Smiles stamp set has some great spring florals which I think are best showcased by keeping things simple.

Get the look:

  • This technique is an an oldie but goodie technique of simply smooshing distress ink onto my mat, spritzing with water, and painting onto watercolour paper with a piece of flexible acetate.

  • Distress colours used here are Kirsch Flamingo, Shaded Lilac, Squeezed Lemonade, and Bundled Sage. Dry with a heat gun and add a next layer. Continue applying layers of distress ink with acetate, until you are happy with results.

  • Colour the image with copics and fussy or die cut. Since I was using dies I chose to die cut the flowers and envelop several times and layered them together to give the image some weight and a sturdy embellishment feel.

  • Stamp and emboss sentiment in white onto black card stock. Cut it into a sentiment strip.

  • Die cut a rectangle out of the distress ink piece about 2 3/4” x 4”. Layer onto a cream coloured A2 card base.

  • Adhere image and then sentiment.
