Your Next Stamp June Release

Today the new release from Your Next Stamp arrives in the online store. A fun filled collection with lots of stamps, dies and stencils. I have a fun technique adding highlights with a white pencil crayon to the lighthouse from the Nautical Stamp set. Get the Look:

  • Position and stamp the light house form the Nautical Fun stamp set onto Neenah Desert Storm card stock A2 card base.

  • I decided I wanted to give the base a stoney look, like it was sitting on some rocky terrain. To create the stone effect basically draw in irregular shaped splats. Making some round and some with 3 or 4 sides to give it a somewhat realistic look.

  • Use Copics to colour in all the coloured areas and grey tones for the areas that will eventually have white pencil crayon highlights.

  • Create a hill with a sandy copic marker for the lighthouse to sit on and add some blue for water.

  • Once you are happy with the copic colouring add your white pencil crayon highlights. Make sure these are done last because copics over pencil crayon could damage your markers.

  • Die cut a circle out of slightly smaller rectangle white card stock and adhere over the coloured image. .

  • Stamp sentiment and heat emboss.
