Playing with the new LDRS Creative Spring Release. The Breezy Blossoms Impress-ion Press and Foil Plates is a really beautiful floral bouquet that seems perfect for watercoloring. However I wanted to do something a little extra to the watercolored bouquet for a modern layout. Decided to play around with the Sentiment Stack Shadow Die II to see if I could stretch it’s use and come up with an interesting layout for the watercolored floral bouquet. The effect is a collection of horizontal strips that build the floral image when laid next to each other.
Some crafters seem to just know how to pull together pattern paper perfectly. I struggle with using bold pattern paper. I’ll gather a few with matching colour tones and see if I can’t lay them out, but it always seems so busy and not pleasing to the eye. I’ve managed to find a way to make pattern paper work for me; I follow the keep it simple rule. This card is simple with 3 elements, bold pattern paper, stamped image and sentiment.
Sam here on blog. Who says a winter scene cannot have rainbows. Had lots of fun building this rainbow village with the super cute stamp set Winter Chalet. It is part of the recently released LDRS Creative With Affection Release. The set has lots of smaller stamps to allow for so many options for creating wintery scenic backgrounds. I wanted the rainbow chalets to really pop so kept the background a neutral colour.
Enjoying all the wonderful goodies in the LDRS Creative Spring Release. Really like the spring look and feel of the Pattern Paper Pad Beautiful Day. The inspiration for this card comes from the fact that the same pattern paper is in a variety of different colours.
